We're having a bit of a crazy time at the moment, we've got lots of young dogs in and they don't stop playing.  Bella has taken to going to bed to get out of their way.  She does still come and help me out when I need her.  She was funny earlier today, as I tripped up in the woods and fell flat on my face, landing on my knee.  Bella ran over and started growling at the other dogs to stop them jumping on me.  She did let my friends help me up.  My right knee is multi-coloured now, but it won't stop me walking them all

New pups

Things are continuing to go well. We've got a few pups who come regularly.  Wallace comes to us 1 day a week, he's a 4 month old black lab, extremely well behaved, and good off lead.  He loves playing with Shinya, the bassett hound.  Shinya is getting really big now, people can't believe how much he's grown.  We've just passed our annual inspection, so we're good to go for another year.  We still miss Izzy.  Raif has settled very well, he and Bella love playing together.  They've just been on their holidays with us, and had a wonderful time

Business is going very well.  Raif our new addition has settled very well.  He loves his sister Bella. We've has a new pup boarding, 16 week old cocker Spud, who gets on well with all the dogs.  He doesn't stop playing!
It's just over a year since we lost our beautiful girl Izzy.  We still miss her and look for her when the dogs are being naughty, Bella has taken over as matriarch, and helps me as needed.  I'm so glad I gave up nursing, I've never been so happy.  I have total job satisfaction

Bella, our new Whippet cross puppy, 15 weeks old is settling in very well.  Thankfully she only comes 1 day a week or I'd never get anything done, as she and puppy Bassett don't stop playing.  We're having a busy week due to half term.  I often wonder what Izzy would have made of the pups.  10 months on I still miss her, I know she'd have kept them in check.  We had a new dog come for assessment, with a view to boarding, but unfortunately it didn't work out.  Thankfully it only went for my girl Bella, so no harm was done.  We didn't take it as we only have calm, balanced dogs staying with us

Business is going well. August is getting busy.  We've got a new puppy in day care, he's 12 weeks Bassett Hound full of character.  As usual Bella is mothering him, he follows her everywhere, lays down with her and even chews her ears.  She sometimes looks at me as if to say "what have you done this time?". Raif plays with him and is surprisingly gentle.  We've got another puppy coming next week a 12 week old whippet cross, the puppies have met each other and get on exceedingly well.  Thankfully they're only together 1 day a week or I'd never get anything done.  I often wonder what Izzy would have made of him, it's almost 10 months since we lost her and we still miss her. We're getting some lovely new dogs coming to us, who all get on well together.  we had 1 in the other day who came for an assessment visit, but unfortunately it didn't work out, fortunately it went for Bella and nobody else.  It was very quickly sorted, but we had to say no to the dog, as the dogs I take are all calm and get on well together

Things are going well, we've had a new addition to the family.  One of our day care has moved in with us permanently.  He's a new brother for Bella and Barney.  Bella was missing Izzy who we lost 10 months ago, and we felt the time was right to add to our family. Raif is a 14 month old Harrier/Beagle, with loads of energy.  He and Bella get on very well and love having boxing matches, and often cuddle up together either on the settee, or in Izzy's basket. We still miss Izzy, but she's always there in our hearts.  Raif gets on well with all dogs and loves meeting new friends.  We know he'll be a good addition to our family.  Bella has got really good and has started to walk off lead with no problems.  She's become the new matriarch, and helps keep the young one's in check.

Bertie and Izzy

Still missing Izzy. I'm doing a cross-stitch stitch a photo of her. I did one of my old dog Elli.  I also did one of my friends dog Bertie, they have it on their bedroom wall and speak to him regularly.  When I was stitching it, Izzy used to look at it and wag her tail. This is Bertie in cross-stitch.

We're still missing our darling Izzy. We're getting lots of new business, we've got 3 new puppies in day care, a 4 month old cocker spaniel, a 4 month old Labrador and a northern induit who's also 4 months.  Life can be hectic when they all come together.  Our Bella helps me keep them in check.  They are all getting well socialised, and are a real pleasure to have.  We've still got our regulars, including Stan, Bella, Teddy to name a few.  We've now got a waiting list for day care, and have started getting bookings for next year. I've started a cross stitch stitch a photo of my darling Izzy. I did one of Bertie for his mum and dad, they love it

This is Izzy and Bertie having a cuddle together after their coffee and cake. Most dogs liked a cuddle with Izzy and they all love one from Bella

We're still missing our darling angel Izzy, It's been over a month now since we lost her and it still hurts.  However we think back to some of the antics she got up to and laugh.  She's still very much in our hearts.  My friends and I laugh and say how she's up there having her ears washed by Bertie and how they'll be going off for coffee and cake together (they used to go off and lay down at the same point in the woods)

We're getting lots of new customers and thankfully lots of repeat business.  We've already got bookings for next year.  We've had a very busy August, and it's continuing until our holiday in September, and we're still busy when we come back. Oh well at least our batteries will be recharged.

I'm still loving what I do and don't regret giving up nursing one bit.  It's challenging at times, but we always get there, especially when we and the dogs are all cuddled up on the settee
